So, i'm a part of their Discord. This game is basically a one and done situation (with a couple minor content updates), this was created YEARS ago. What the creator originally planned on doing was making a longer game, but retracted and instead decided that they wanted to make smaller games, piece by piece to tell the story. So hopefully all the things i'm about to say answer all your questions, though sadly I can't remember the discord location to send you the link.
So, are they making a new game? Supposedly yes.
Is there any updates on what we may/may not get? Barely any at all. To be honest, I want to say no.
Is this game or any future game by this developer likely to come out? I would say... maybe a 10% chance? And that's me being generous.
There's no guarantee. Currently, the Discord hasn't really posted any true updates for this game since like 2023. Though the community behind it have a ton of faith that this game will one day to get an ending or a sequel, or maybe even updates. As of right now though... it's not looking likely. The last "update" for the game was for a sick dog they wanted donations for and even that was all the way back in 2024. After that, it's been radio silence. Even the real last "update" on the game was them telling us their episodic plan for his series, but nothing has been shown and even that was in January 2024. Not even screen caps of models to show proof of life or showing any kind of effort being put towards a new project.
It's kind of a running joke to say that the creator is still actively working on it in their Discord. Basically, if you ask about any updates at all or any information about ANY projects at all, you just get shut down or told to "let him cook" pretty much lol.
I should mention, it's also hard to say really how much was actually finished. He shut down the Patreon and seems to go on hiatus from to time. Even to a point where the mods seem to occasionally get confused as to what's going on. As you can see in the comments, there's a few people being HIGHLY supportive of what he's doing, but i'm going to be honest, the way they respond is highly similar to the mods in the Discord. Getting weirdly upset/annoyed or mad at anyone asking about updates. I wouldn't be fully surprised if it's them coming on here to bring the drama to the comment section.

This is not entirely correct. It's not abandoned nor does he seem "done with the project", as a future update is in the works. The developer, Redamz, made the following update dated 8/6/24 on the game's Steam Discussion forum: "Plans have changed a lot since back then, but development is steady for the rest of the story. MGI Prologue will receive one last update in the upcoming years after all the extra content that was developed for it is polished, but in the immediate future the story will continue in a new game made in Unreal Engine with way higher quality models, much better graphics and, I hope, way better writing and animation quality as well. I won't spoil anything for now, I just want to give people some peace of mind. This upcoming game won't be full on hentai like MGI, am focusing more on what I enjoy the most which is the girl dating part and story writing, I feel like H scenes feel forced a lot of the time, but regardless, this new game will still not be censored on PC versions at least. Why is it when I go into one of the "fun" scenes everything goes black but if I click I can still hear the words generating the scenes are not loading but I can play the game

Well, this build with the old engine is gonna be abandoned, but the dev is continuing the game on a completely new engine because the engine and models used to make this older game is outdated and doesn't work properly on new PCs. Game will be continued on a new engine.
Edit: I'm gonna make this clear, it was the dev himself said that he was working on the story in a new engine in this comment section which you can find it and I decided to make a comment about it to spread the news. I don't know where to find their progress or any reports they have, I don't know what engines the dev used for their games, I don't know if this statement is even true at all. With that said, let's all hope for the best for this game.

It hasnt been. It really was abondoned. Creator said he would be moving onto a differnt game, but would be using the characters from this game, but there hasnt been an update on his new project since then and its been close to a year.
Waited years for an update, only for it to be abandoned...such a gigantic letdown. Chumumi was one of my favorite characters of all time. The developer really shot themselves in the foot when they made that decision. It doesn't matter what other games they make now because all faith in them is gone. If they can't be bothered to finish the game that got them so much attention in the first place, then how can they be trusted to finish anything? Why should anyone put their trust in a developer that betrayed their fans? All for what, "smaller, more manageable games"? Why couldn't they put that time and effort into the original game instead? What a massive disappointment.
The engine is so ancient that modern computers can't even run the game. The models are dated and hard to work with. Nothing's been abandoned, I'm just continuing the story in a new engine, with new assets.
Dude, Redamz everyone is calling me naive for saying that you still working on the game, nobody believes it but i still trusting in you. So many people would be eager to buy the full version of your game, me including. No matter how many time have been passed, the game still have a big amount of fans, and it will be well received when the release comes out. The only thing the comunity needs right now is your word saying that you still working on it, and showing with proofs your progress. That will make the difference, and possibly revive the comunity of the game.

So, i think this can be my Pc, but when i downloader this, on a Old HD, was working normally, but when i start the game, (by the first time) i tried to look arou d (360), when suddenly he crashed, i need do something on game, or ITS my Pc?
